This course is aimed at primary school teachers looking to develop a broad range of responses to the spectrum of behaviours within the school environment.
Course aims:
The training places an emphasis on examining the social, emotional and mental health needs of pupils and the challenging behaviours that can arise when these needs are not met. The session enables participants to leave with a wealth of strategies which can be implemented to address the varying levels of behaviour, from common place low-level issues to serious incidents. Active participation in devising suitable interventions for pupils will be a significant practical component of this course.

With 22 years’ experience in both primary and secondary education, including working in specialist behaviour provisions, residential care settings and as a local authority inclusion advisor, Sean has a breadth of experience in working with schools to embed systems that support pupil behaviour and emotional well being. He approaches this through a combination of training sessions,coaching, mentoring and direct working with senior leadership teams, teachers and support staff.
