Aim of the course:
● Teachers to leave the course feeling enthused, confident and
ready to plan their own science week.
● Participants will leave with ideas on how to lead a science week
in their setting.
Participants will be guided through how to plan a science/ stem week that is appropriate to the needs of their school. The course will look at why every school should run a science week and will be informed of what is needed to run it. We will discuss possible activities and the cost of running a science week.
This course is aimed at those who are science lead teachers.

Kulvinder has been teaching for over 20 years now and is currently an Assistant Headteacher at Northbury Primary School in Barking. Kulvinder has been head of year across the junior school and has a wide range of teaching experiences. Northbury is a PSQM school and we have just submitted to renew this and upgrade to Gold. We have also achieved the Space Education Quality Mark- Gold standard.In a wider role, Kulvinder is a member of the ASE Primary Science Committee and also a Primary Science Teaching Trust fellow, which means he was awarded‘Science Teacher of the Year’ in 2012.
Kulvinder believes in very practical science and making science fun, accessible and enjoyable. Kulvinder is currently working on assessment across the school and also building in more STEM opportunities across the school.
